The third annual Halloween Horror Camp is going down on Saturday, October 28th in Western Massachusetts. Featuring tribute sets from lespecial (Primus), Roots of Creation (Rage Against the Dead), Strange Machines (The Doors), Formula 5 (Phish), Cosmic Dust Bunnies (The 80s), Uncle Bob (Bassnectar), Mammal Dap (Daft Punk), Kerry Quirk (Madonna) and Creamery Station (Watkins Glen ‘73), the weekend will be jam-packed with musical costumes across the board. The location will be disclosed to all ticket buyers 48 hours in advance of the festival, adding to Horror Camp’s now signature location reveal. The only information released to the public is that it is held at a summer camp in the 413 area code of Massachusetts. Spoooooky!On Saturday, October 28th, gates will open at 10am with music from 1pm until 3am. Fans can expect cabin and car side camping options, a community bonfire, the Disc Jam Flow Tribe leading fire performances, and a complimentary beer garden sponsored by Lagunitas for all guests 21 and over. Tickets for the event include camping and/or cabins and cost $75 each. Tickets are on-sale now.
Versailles, In. — Thirty-two-year-old Versal Strunk has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for one count of child molesting according to Ripley County prosecutor Ric Hertel. The sentence was handed down following a 90-day delay following his guilty plea.Hertel used testimony from an Indiana State police detective to detail the aggravating factors and the judge agreed to the maximum sentence.Hertel commented after the hearing that many of the 8-year-old victim’s family were present in the courtroom and had to hear many of the terrible details of the sex acts perpetrated against the child. Hertel said that it was extremely difficult and emotional for many of them. The victim’s parents chose not to address the court but asked that Hertel represent their interests.Strunk was arrested in October of 2017 for molesting the 8-year-old boy that was in the care of his wife.
