Man accused of Santa Fe Springs murder to appear in court

first_imgNORWALK – Arraignment is scheduled today for Woody Hume, who is accused of running over a man in Santa Fe Springs. Hume, 28, of Buena Park is being charged with one count of murder in the death of Samuel Desrosiers, 24, of Buena Park, police said. Whittier police Lt. Aviv Bar said Hume and the victim knew each other and that Desrosiers’ death was the result of an ongoing feud between the two men. The June 29 incident occurred on Marquardt Avenue, north of Rosecrans Avenue in Santa Fe Springs. Whittier police responded to a call at 4 p.m. about a vehicle versus pedestrian incident. Witnesses said the victim stepped out of a vehicle and was struck by the suspect’s car, Bar reported. Hume, who was driving a 2003 Dodge pickup truck, was detained at the scene.
