first_imgTHESSALONIKI – Greek basketball power Panathinaikos lost its second in a row in the Greek league, this time by a resounding 71-54 to the surging PAOK, which is now third behind the Greens in second and the leaders Olympiakos. In a game postponed from mid-November, PAOK was in control from the get-go although it allowed Panathinaikos to claw back to a 32-30 halftime deficit before running away.Playing a taut defense, the winners stifled the Panathianikos offensive game and were helped by poor three-point shooting from the losers.PAOK got 18 points from Marc Antonio Carter and 16 from Vangelis Margaritis while James Gist tallied 18 for the losers. The result gives Olympiakos a one-point lead on top with PAOK only two behind Panathiniakos now and also with a game in hand to make it up.TweetPinShare0 Shareslast_img read more
